Diaper-eez Advice on Toilet Training
When both you and the child are ready -- this is the time to start -- both of you must be ready for this endeavour.
For the child: If your child communicates to you, or wakes up with a dry diaper from a nap or nighttime, have them sit on potty for just as long as they want. If something happens - WOW!!! If not, try a few minutes or a little later.
Never ask a child at the beginning of toilet training if they have to go potty. The answer will always be "NO" (a toddler's favorite word). Just say, LET'S GO TO POTTY !! WHICH TOY DO YOU WANT TO TAKE WITH YOU? THIS ONE OR THAT ONE?!!
This method worked for my children and they were both potty trained by 18 months (one girl & one boy!!) Good luck!!
